The Speak Truth to Power PSAs present the inspiring stories of human rights defenders from around the world. Five sixty-second profiles highlight the histories and accomplishments of Ka Hsaw Wa, Bobby Muller, Elie Wiesel, Harry Wu and Diana Ortiz, all of whom have devoted their lives to ending human rights abuses. Whether they have been tortured, imprisoned, raped, threatened, or beaten, they have found the courage to speak out, often at great risk to themselves and their families. These evocative shorts will help raise awareness of the wide range of violations such activists face, from corporate-sponsored forced labor camps to government-sanctioned torture. Their stories remind us that abuses can take place anywhere, that anyone can be a victim, and that everyone can take action to preserve human rights.
